Whetstone Golf Club – May 2019

 Captain’s Bulletin

Competitions

The competition season is now well under way and so far we have generally been blessed with good weather.  A big thank you to everyone who takes part and congratulations to all who have been successful. See the Website for the latest Results.  Not forgetting our thanks to all those who organise and ensure competitions and results run to plan.

Charity Update.

Congratulations and thanks to Fotoula York who won the Treasure Hunt on “Drive In” day. She said she never usually won anything but generously donated half her prize (6 bottles of wine) for the next charity raffle.

Loros congratulated the Club on its successful “Drive In” and were delighted to post the photo of the Refreshment Tent from last month’s Bulletin on the Gallery on their Website. All 17th Hole donations are appreciated!

Special mention for Caroline Clarke who made a successful application to the Morrisons Foundation for Match Funding which resulted recently in a cheque for £725 being sent directly to COMMBUS, last year’s Charity.

Captain’s Day 15th June

I am delighted to say in addition to all the usual fun of Captain’s Day the Loros Treatment and Information Bus will be attending from 9.30 to 3.00 with a resident Reflexologist offering advice as well as foot or hand treatments.  Naturally donations will be appreciated for services rendered.

Captain’s Away Day at Norwood Park on 6th July

Whilst the list is filling there are still places available for what promises to be a good day at one of Nottinghamshire’s top 10 courses.  Register your interest on the list on the notice board or see me.
