CAPTAINíS BULLETIN FEBRUARY 2020

Welcome to my Captains bulletin for February.

It gave me great pleasure to be able to attend Frankís charity cheque presentation earlier this month when he presented Loros with the fantastic sum of £6700.00 raised by the club during his Captainís year. Congratulationís Frank and a massive thank you to everyone involved in raising such a tremendous sum for the charity.

Speaking of club charity I hope that those of you that have had a round in the past week or so have noticed the signage that has been placed by the pond in front of the 5th and by the left hand greenside bunker on the 18th. These two holes were chosen by the Lady Captain and myself as the charity holes for this year. We hope that any ball landing in either hazard will result in a donation of 50p being placed in the charity fund jar on the bar in the clubhouse.

With the winter league now entering its knockout phase many congratulations to all those that have made it through. A massive thank you must go out to Darren Currie for once again organising and administrating this annual competition especially this year given the adverse weather conditions weíve had to endure.

It is nice to see the possible light at the end of the tunnel from this horrendous wet winter weather with the starting sheet for the Captainís Drive In being posted on the notice board. The unofficial start of the season is not far away so hopefully by then we will some better conditions. I hope as many of you as possible can make it to the day and also to the evening do afterwards (tickets for which will be available shortly) so we can get the competition season off to a flying start.

Cheers

Kev Parker (Club Captain)
