Club Championship & Directors Trophy

1    Club Championship comprises both Mens and Ladies competitions.

Mens

Day 1 –

 Club Championship -  Qualification to play in day 2 is by finishing in the top 24 (or ties) gross OR by finishing in the top 24 (or ties) nett.

Day 2   Club Championship Trophy  - Best aggregate gross score over the 2 days

There are divisional prizes for best aggregate  nett scores in categories of Handicap Indexes up to 14.4 and Handicap Index  14.5-28.4 ( Directors Trophy) –

Ladies

Day 1-

 Club Championship – Singles Strokeplay Scratch . All Ladies go through to day 2

Day 2   Club Championship Trophy  - Best aggregate gross score over the 2 days

            There is a prize for best aggregate gross for Handicap Indexed 20.5 to 28.5.

2         The competitions are open to all members with WHS handicap, however for     the handicap prizes a HI cap will be applied Men 28, Ladies 36, Juniors 54.

3       For the Championships only, in the event of a tie for first place the result will be decided by a playoff starting from the 1^st hole. The first to win a hole will be the Champion.

4         If the day2 competitions have to be abandoned due to inclement weather conditions, the committee may decide the result based on the day 1 results.

5       The competitions will be held in accordance with the R&A Rules of Golf and the Whetstone  General Competition Rules and Code of Conduct as published.
